stand back.i am toxic.
seriously. i got anthrax in my left arm and small pox on my right arm.
as far as shots go, i rank anthrax up there with tetanus as far as soreness and discomfort. smallpox is just downright annoying.
i am also immune to yellow fever now. no word yet on malaria. at least malaria comes in pill form.
just 5 more anthrax injections to go!

gawdang.it's been a while.
i just spent the last half hour reading my own blog. starting with when i left from basic. holy crap that was 3 years and change ago. it just dawned on me the other day that i am half way through my enlistment.
anywho, just thought i'd drop off a link to some pictures. this is from back in January when we were activated for state emergency duty. we went down to Springfield with 7 60k generators and 2 30k generators. all in all, it was an interesting experience. probably the coldest i have ever been. when diesel fuel starts gelling up in the fuel tank - it's too fucking cold.
in spite of the weather, it was very rewarding work. we provided power to essential utilities like water pumps, and water/sewage treatment sites. the town we were in had a population of 45. however, they had a lot of livestock that needed water. not only were the people's health being threatened, but their entire well being if they started loosing their means to earn an income.
so yeah, pictures and stuff.
also.
Ben is hooking me up with some snazzy moblog action. i'm about to set off on yet another adventure. more details as i find them out.

problem solved.it was simple.
no more traversing a directory to see if files are still growing.
